Located on the seafront of Karabournaki in Kalamaria, Les Zazous is a contemporary bar and restaurant designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Set at the meeting point of land and sea, the project takes full advantage of its unique coastal location, creating a unified experience where architecture, landscape, and atmosphere become one.
The design focuses on openness, light, and uninterrupted sea views. Large openings allow natural light to flood the interior, while visually connecting indoor and outdoor spaces. The architecture remains subtle and refined, ensuring that the surrounding landscape and horizon remain the main focal points.

The arrival experience is carefully designed as a gradual journey. Guests enter through a striking threshold defined by large Corten steel elements and rich planting. From there, a promenade gently leads visitors toward the waterfront, creating a slow, immersive transition that enhances the connection to the place.

to the space through a gradual and immersive transition.

Natural materials play a key role in shaping the identity of the space. Timber decking, wooden pergolas, granite surfaces, and outdoor gas fire pits create a warm and welcoming environment. Soft, neutral-toned textiles and abundant greenery further strengthen the connection to nature, allowing the landscape to flow naturally through the architectural design.

Material & Detail Gallery

Light and materiality work together to define the character of Les Zazous—raw yet elegant, minimal yet atmospheric. The design avoids unnecessary ornamentation, focusing instead on texture, balance, and sensory experience.

Les Zazous is more than a bar and restaurant. It is a destination where dining becomes an experience, inviting guests to connect with the sea, the natural environment, and the essence of the location.
