Located at 81 Aiolou Street in the historic centre of Athens, this project transforms a former office building into a contemporary four-star hotel. The development includes two basement levels, a ground floor, mezzanine, eight upper floors, and a rooftop, accommodating 28 guestrooms comprising double and triple rooms as well as suites with private jacuzzis. Public amenities include a reception–bar, conference facilities, and a rooftop lounge, forming a complete and refined hospitality experience within the urban fabric.
The architectural expression of the main façade is defined by clear geometry, symmetrical window composition, and decorative aluminium elements, conveying a composed and elegant identity. Extensive glazed surfaces enhance the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, allowing generous natural daylight to penetrate deep into the building, while the southern arcade strengthens the building’s integration into the surrounding cityscape.
The interior design articulates a contemporary spatial language that balances minimal clarity with material warmth. Clean lines and symmetrical compositions support functionality and comfort, while a palette of natural materials — including timber flooring, fabric upholstery, and exposed concrete surfaces — introduces tactile richness and visual depth. Vertical timber wall elements establish rhythm and texture, complemented by layered lighting, refined metal and wood furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains that subtly modulate light and atmosphere throughout the day.
