Canteen is a vintage all-day restaurant designed with a contemporary interior architecture approach. The design combines retro influences with modern spatial clarity. The space is suitable for both daytime dining and evening social use, creating a flexible all-day dining environment.
The interior is defined by a rich yet balanced color palette. Black, brown, and beige tones create depth, warmth, and character, while grey and white act as neutral transitions that soften contrasts and maintain visual continuity. This careful chromatic balance ensures a refined environment that feels grounded, elegant, and suitable for all-day use without visual overload.

Materials, Colors & Structure
The structure is defined by exposed timber beams and columns. These elements add a natural and warm character to the interior. Brick walls with large arches organize the space and guide movement. They create clear functional zones while keeping an open layout.

Spatial Layout & Zoning
The flooring supports spatial zoning. Natural oak parquet is used in the dining area to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Black matte tiles define the bar area and highlight it as a social focal point. This material contrast improves readability of the space.

Lighting & Atmosphere
Lighting is designed for different times of day. Pendant lights highlight architectural elements and textures during the evening. Large windows bring natural daylight into the space during the day, improving openness and material visibility.

Outdoor Space
Outside, fabric canopies extend the restaurant into the urban environment. This creates a shaded outdoor dining area. Plants and soft seating elements add comfort and a natural feeling to the space.
