Developed across five stories in the urban fabric of Thessaloniki, Danaidon Boutique Hotel is conceived as a compact, city-driven hospitality project rooted in the principles of urban living. The hotel comprises twelve fully equipped apartments, each measuring twenty-eight square meters and designed as an autonomous micro-dwelling that balances efficiency, comfort, and spatial clarity.
Each apartment integrates a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom within a carefully structured layout. The design approach prioritizes functionality without compromising atmosphere, transforming limited square footage into well-articulated living environments suited to contemporary urban lifestyles. Circulation is intuitive, and spatial transitions are clearly defined, reinforcing a sense of order and ease.
Urbanism acts as the primary conceptual driver behind the architectural and interior design. Brick-clad walls introduce texture and a sense of permanence, while timber flooring adds warmth and tactility. White furniture elements provide visual lightness, allowing the spaces to feel open and adaptable. This restrained material palette establishes an elegant yet utilitarian composition, aligned with the hotel’s metropolitan identity.
Grey and white textiles soften the interiors, blending seamlessly with the architectural framework and contributing to a calm, neutral atmosphere. Lighting is predominantly indirect, with concealed sources enhancing material surfaces and spatial depth while maintaining a relaxed, understated ambiance. Subtle accents of color are introduced sparingly, adding vibrancy and reinforcing the project’s contemporary urban character.
