Positioned within the residential fabric of Athens, the apartment building in Vrilissia introduces a contemporary architectural statement defined by clarity, restraint, and compositional balance. Conceived as a new addition to the area, the project articulates a strong identity through minimal design principles, carefully aligning form, materiality, and spatial organization.

The architectural language is grounded in clean geometries and precise lines, shaping both the exterior and interior environments. The façade is composed as a disciplined arrangement of volumes, openings, and solid–void relationships, allowing light and shadow to become integral design elements. Rather than relying on excess articulation, the building’s character emerges through proportion, rhythm, and the careful calibration of architectural details.

Interior spaces continue this minimalist narrative, emphasizing functionality, openness, and spatial continuity. Layouts are designed to support contemporary living patterns, with fluid transitions between private and communal areas. Natural light is treated as a primary design material, enhancing the perception of space and reinforcing the building’s calm, understated atmosphere.

Material choices are deliberate and consistent, reinforcing the project’s cohesive identity. Neutral tones, refined textures, and subtle contrasts create interiors that feel timeless rather than trend-driven. This restrained palette allows architecture to serve as a quiet framework for everyday life, adaptable to the evolving needs of its inhabitants.

The project responds sensitively to its urban context, maintaining a respectful scale while asserting a distinct architectural presence. Balconies, openings, and exterior thresholds are carefully positioned to mediate between private living and the surrounding neighborhood, fostering a balanced relationship between interior life and the city.

The apartment building in Vrilissia stands as a contemporary residential intervention where minimalism is not an aesthetic gesture alone, but a design strategy. Through precision, simplicity, and coherence, the project delivers a unified architectural experience—one that integrates seamlessly into its context while confidently expressing a modern way of living.

Located in Vrilissia, Athens, this project involves the complete renovation of an existing three-level residential building, transformed into a contemporary luxury apartment complex. The building includes a basement with private storage areas, a ground-level pilotis and three residential floors accommodating six exclusive apartments, two per level. The rooftop is designed as a private retreat, featuring a wooden PVC deck, outdoor kitchen, and metal pergola, offering an elevated outdoor living experience.

The architectural exterior composition combines exposed concrete, earth-toned colours, and natural wood cladding, creating a refined balance between minimalism and warmth. Integrated façade lighting subtly enhances the building’s form and materiality during nighttime.

Each apartment features a generous open-plan living and dining area with fireplace, spacious bedrooms, and a master suite with en-suite bathroom. A neutral palette of wood, stone textures, and high-quality matte finishes, along with custom-made furniture and linear indirect lighting, shapes an atmosphere of understated luxury.

The project reflects a contemporary vision of luxury living, defined by architectural clarity, functionality, and timeless design.
