Casa Serena

Set within a 6,500-square-metre landscape landscape outside the city of Drama, this contemporary private villa creates a strong connection between architecture, nature, and outdoor living. The 255-square-metre residence is designed as a series of low-rise volumes that follow the natural terrain. The layout ensures privacy while maintaining openness and long horizontal views across the landscape.

Architecture and Materials

The design draws inspiration from traditional Mediterranean architecture. Natural stone façades, clay roof tiles, and textured walls define the exterior.

These materials connect the villa to its surroundings while improving thermal comfort. At the same time, large glass openings allow natural light to enter the interior spaces.

Indoor–Outdoor Living

A key feature of the villa is the strong relationship between interior and exterior spaces. Large openings, shaded terraces, and outdoor living areas create a seamless transition between inside and outside.

As a result, the landscape becomes part of the everyday living experience.

Outdoor Spaces and Pool

A sequence of shaded pergolas organizes the outdoor living areas, creating multiple zones for dining, relaxation, and social gathering while contributing to passive climate control. The landscape composition is anchored by a generous swimming pool with an integrated island lounge, forming a focal point for leisure and outdoor life and reinforcing the villa’s resort-like character.

Interior Design

In contrast to the tactile, earth-driven exterior, the interior design follows a modern classic approach, balancing timeless elegance with contemporary clarity. Clean architectural lines are layered with refined detailing, warm textures, and carefully curated furnishings, creating spaces that feel both sophisticated and welcoming.
